      Fuding-Ningde Expressway, or Funing Expressway for short, is an expressway within Fujian Province of China. It is a component of the first section of the main line forward of the Fujian section of the Shenyang-Haikou Expressway, the backbone of China's national expressway network in the north-south direction. It is reported that the Funing Expressway has a total length of 141.5 kilometers, plus the 31.3 kilometers of Fu’an connection line. The total investment is 8.1 billion yuan, and the average cost per kilometer is 46 million yuan. It is the most expensive expressway in my country today. Due to crossing mountains and seas and complicated geological conditions, there are 14 accompanying roads and 16 extra-large bridges on the 141-kilometer highway, including 8 sea-crossing bridges. The total length of bridges and tank roads is more than 60 kilometers, accounting for 1/3 of the total project. After the Funing Expressway opens to traffic, the road from Xiamen to Zhejiang in the north and Guangdong in the south will take at least half of the time spent on the national highway. This coastal expressway closely connects Fujian with the two economically developed regions of the Yangtze River Delta and the Pearl River Delta. It will play a key role and important significance in accelerating the opening up of Fujian and achieving economic growth!
